Nay Pyi Taw International Airport was opened on 19th Dec. As there is a Summit Confrence for 6 countries (Great Mekong Subregion, GMS), the charter flights from those countries will be landed. The construction was started since April 2007 by Myanmar Construction companies, the technical support from Singapore, and financial support from China. The check in counters are divied into two main counters as International and Domestic Counter. The Nay Pyi Taw International Airport is the 3rd Airport after Yangon and Mandalay International Airport.
