Yangon is selling Sony Electric Materials with special price since the last year-ends. It comes again now. AA Electronic Ltd is selling Samsung Electric Materials daily starting from 22-January with discount up to 55 percent.

Chinese Traditional Competition of Lion and Dragon have being now held at China Town in SinOoTan Street as souvenir of Chinese New Year on 26-January.It is thought that participants may be much in this competition.

SAIGON, new Vietnam restaurant, has been opened now. There have two menuswith chicken and beef. Only 2000 kyat can give satisfaction to all and this restaurant is managed by Myanmar who came back from Vietnam. It will be opened from 11:00am to 10:00pm on Damazadi Road.

It is Myanmar Traditional Play presented by students of the Alliance Francaise. Performer is Kyaw Kyaw Bo, son of U Win Bo who is a former celebrated performer. Entertaining day is on 24-January. Show will be started on 6:30 pm and entrance fee is 3000 kyats.

Chinese New Year Festival will be held on coming 26th, January. China town in Yangon is very busy with Chinese Traditional Foods Shops and the decorated materials shops for Chinese New Year at night.

Japanese Film Festival for 2009 led by Japan Embassy in Myanmar and Japan Foundation in Japan will be held in Yangon and Mandalay. It will be on at Thamada Cinema in Yangon from 18-January to 21-January and at Win Lite cinema in Mandalay from 23-January to 26-January. Films are Nabbie's Love, Water Boys, Linda Linda and Pring Pong Bath Station.

It is a monastery with a hundred pillars that has been built since about 1910 year. It was a place that Japanese Army had settled in Japan Colony Age, by leading with General Aung San and thirty comrades who fought for independence had held preaching Dhamma ceremonies and so on... Now, this monastery has been changed and opened to Monastic Educational School and about four hundred students who live immediate surroundings are learning there.

Although rumor about falling car prices are spreading, car trade are dull in sales. It is falling price but Toyota Mark II 92 model is about 600 hundreds and Sunny Super saloon 86 model is about 240 hundreds are being quoted in Market. Therefore, it cannot say falling price.

Damage and destruction by Nargis Cyclone are being repaired at Shwedagone Pagoda. Golden Robes are being offered to Pagoda. It may be long to accomplish all. It is guessed it may be finished in April of this year(2009) as rumored news.

There is a shop that is selling the materials valued 500 kyats. The selling materials in this shop are mostly 500 kyats. Materials are goods for human, cosmetics, fancy and so on... They are imported from China. The shop owner had been in Japan and he shapes his shop like 100Y shops in Japan. In Yangon, he opens his shops at Hledan Junction (On Insein Road), Thamine Junction, Tamwe and other very busy places.
