This time the year maizes become mature. You can sees heaps of maizes at whole sale shops. Maizes sold at small markets are really fresh. They can be eaten after boiling or baking as in Japan. But it is tastier to eat fried loose grains. Why not try them because they are a good match for beer.

Shooting of a drama movie on VCD in which singer and actor Example Tun Tun acts in. It was shot at Yankin Centre on July 21. After the shooting, the centre was crowded with admirers who wanted to shake hands with the actor and who seeked autographs of the actor. He is a young up and running actor.

A new kind of yoghurt at Season Bakery Shop at Yankin Centre. It is usually eaten with jaggery in Myanmar. But, this yoghurt is served with honey. It gives a great taste when sweetness of honey is mixed with sourness of yoghurt.

Pineapples have come into season. We can get the sweet smell of the fruit all over the city. Myanmar people eat it with limes, salt, or other spices. However it is eaten, it gives great taste. You can see the skill of sellers peeling the fruit quickly.

VCDs of funeral of famous actor, singer and model who passed away on July 11 sell like hot cakes. Magazines and weekly journals which carried the news and photos of the funeral did not meet the demand although they were priced two or three times more than normal prices.

The eighth album of famous Japanese singer Marie(Marie VIII) has been launched. The song(You and I) in the album is the second song in Myanmar language. Arrangements are under way to hold the fourth live concert in Myanmar in October. It is a great success for a foreign singer to hold life concerts three successive years.

China Southern Airline is launching Yangon-Guang Zhou-Yangon flights starting from July 2 weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.Flight CZ-3056 leaves Yangon for Guang Zhou at 11:30 hours local time.Flight CZ-3055 leaves Guang Zhou for Yangon at 8:30 hours local time.
