Tender sales of Myanmar pearls will be held at Inya Lake Hotel from February 22 to 24. Merchants from 15 countries were reportedly invited. Over 100,000 pearls will be sold at the auction.

Thazin, species of orchid, (Bulbophyllum auricomun) comes into season now. Women wear this orchid at special occasions such as convocation ceremonies and wedding receptions. Prices range from K 200 to K1500.

Yangon Zoological Garden will celebrate its 101st anniversary for five days starting from January 16. The garden is 101 years old on January 25. The celebration includes special programmes for childen.

This is called "Khaung Nin Maung" .that is made by glutinous rice. Many of them eat this for their breakfast. These are very similar with Japanese typical food and many of Japanes likes this.
