Pre-Chinese New year market festival took place near our office in china town. The temporary stall blocked half of the road. Numerous gifts and toys were available.

Yangon Zoologyical Garden Celebrated its visitors can have their photos taken with a baby tiger and a bear. The animals seened to be tired because a lot of people wanted to pose for a photograph with the animals.

Centenary of Yangon Zoological Garden will take place from 25 to 29 January. Animal dance shows, stage shows,circus and market festival will be held to mark the occasion. A special programme will allow visitors to pose for a photograph with cubs (a baby tiger).

Japanese alcoholic drink, Soba Shochu, is being manufactured at a factory in Mandalay. The drink made from Japanese buckwheat is available at shopping centres such as City Mart, etc. A bottle of drink costs K 3000. Plans are under_way to export it to Japan.

January 4 is Independence Day of Myanmar. People celeberate the occasion holding sports in streets and wards. As you can see in the picture, streets are blocked. Winners of competitions are awarded prizes.
