This is a wine factory in Ayethaya on the way to Taunggyi. A German entrepreneur grows French grapes and produces wine there. One can have a look at vineyard and the factory and taste wine. It is like a tourist attraction.

Ayeyarwady dolphins are under protection in Myanmar. A sign board for protection of the animals can be seen at the jetty of Singu.

A passenger can enjoy special services such as food, check in and transport for using Lotus Class on the jet aircrafts of Air Bagan. This is a special service offered by the domestic airway for business class passengers.

Air Bagan is making arrangements to launch Royal Lotus Programme. Platinum cards will be offered for milage, silver cards for those who take 10 flights in two months and gold cards for 15 flights in two months. Launch date of the programme is not known yet. It is advisable to keep the air tickets used and the boarding pass.

Strawberries are available in Myanmar where the cold season has set in. Fresh strawberry juice is available. This photo was taken at a restaurant in Nyaung Shwe. A glass of strawberry juice costs K 800.

The first CNG locomotives have been invented in Myanmar. Plans are underway for the lomomotives LRBE 22 and RBE 2505 to run as local tranis.

U Thu Kha, veteran director and writer, passed away at the age of 96 in Yangon on December 7. Dr. Than Tun, retired History Professor, died at the age of 83 in Mandalay on November 30. The demise of the two scholars is unreplacable loss for Myanmar people.

Theatrical performance of famous troupes "Shwe Mann Tha Bin" is now available on video. The performance includes Anyein (female artiste dance) and Hnapa Thwa (romantic dance by a male and female dancer).

Trishaw service has been available since last month for sightseeing in the Zoological Garden in Yangon. The pleasure trip round the zoo costs K 500.

47th Fun Fair and Charity Bazaar will take place at Hnin Zi Gone Home for the Aged on December 3. Proceeds from the event will go to the fund of the home.

Plans are underway for Pandaw Luxury Ship to operate voyages along Chin Dwin River with effect from September, 2006 in addition to existing cruise along Ayeyarwady River. The itinerary will cover from Bagan to Mawlaik, in the upper reaches of Chin Dwin.
