Three famous Myanmar cartoonists _ Maung Wunna, creator of cartoon character "Tha Mein Paw Thwut", Swe Min (Danuphyu) who was wekk-known for his cartoon character "Tut Pi" and Thaw Ka, creator of cartoon character "Ah Yein"_ passed away one after another recently. Maung Wunna deceased on November 10, Swe Min on November 11 and Thaw Ka on November 19.

Fried crickets are on sale in large quantity in this season. Ten crickets cost from K 200 to K 300.

Ceremonies to offer yelow robes to monks are held before fullmoon of Tazaung Mon at the end of the rainy season. Offerings are hung on tree-like frames which are sent to monasteries for the monks who cannot travel during the lent.

Petrol price has gone up from K180 to K 1500 per gallon starting from October 20. Fares for city buses and high way buses have gone up due to increase in fuel. Fares for city buses have become two times higher and fares for highway buses from Yangon to Bagan, Mandalay and Taunggyi have become K 11,000.
