Jetstar Asia will operate its flights between Yangon and Singapore with a new Air bus A320 aircraft on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays starting from October 31, 2005 under bilateral cooperation.

Air-Bagan has launched Lotus Class services for first class passengers on its F-100 jet aircraft. Lotus Class travellers will enjoy privilege of priorty in buying tickets, separate check-in, wide seats in separate compartments, special meals, gifts, priority in handling baggage, etc. This service is the first of its kind offered by domestic air lines.

Kyaw Kim Korean beauty saloon has opened recently on the second floor of Kyaw Home Mark in Pansodan Street. Kim Min SooK, a Korean woman, takes change of the shop which render facial care, massage and hair styling services with the use of Korean products and Know-how. She worked as a hairstylist and make-up beautician about 10 years in Korea. This is the only shop which is managed by a Korean Woman.

The Newyear festival of Naga nationals will take place in Layshi in Khamhti township on January 14 and 15. You can take a flight from Yangon to Homalin via Mandalay. The remaining journey is by land.

This is a kind of herbal medicine for cancer from trees in ice mountains in Putao region. Leaves nad barks of the tree are put in boiling water. People drink this as a medicine.

A satellite phone seen in Putao. By this, we can use a line phone and a satellite phone between 9:00 am to 16:30 pm. Its is convenient to call Yangon from Putao But, it is not easy to make a call to Putao from Yangon.

Taxi fares has gone up recently due to soaring fuel price. So have highway bus fares. A bus ticket from Yangon to Mandalay etc has gone up from 6000 K to 8000 K.
