The two old men from Pantha village in Tamu township had contact with Japanese Army during the world war. About thirty years ago, they used to be guides for the Japanese team that visited the region in search for remains of Japanese soldiers. I was the second Japanese person for them to see in thirty years after war. I would like to recommend this place to Japanese visitors as an interesting place to visit.

New branch of Shwe Pazun Bakery was opened on January 4. The place is 30 minutesdrive from center of the city. The two-storey building is fully air-conditioned and it has a wide car park. The bakery is open from 8am to 8pm seven days a week. Cold drinks are available from 9am to 9pm. Upstairs is available to let for holding wedding receptions. I came across a tour bus when I visited there, and I saw a lot of foreign customers there.

I came across people of screen shooting a commercial when I visited Kandawgyi Park the other day. The actress was Thet Mon Myint, a popular CM star. I think commercials are often made in the places like Kandawgyi Park because there are not many beautiful places in Yangon.

Kandawgyi Park has received a face lift. With a lot of more things to see, the park has become more pleasant. It is packed everyday with holiday makers-families, couples and children. Although the project has not finished, the park is a very pleasant place with mini-gardens and mini-waterfalls.
