There was a devastating earthquake in the region at the end of the year. Casualties and injuries were also reported here in Myanmar. A new Japanese restaurant has been opened near Panorama Hotel in Pansoedan Street. Not much dishes are available on the menu here yet. It may be because they have just started. But, the shop is easily accessible.

Rakine traditional wrestling competition was held at Aung San Stadium in Yangon from 18 to 20. Rakhine traditional goods are available at the competition; which was teemed with people.

Year-end Market festival is well under way at Bogyoke Aung San Market. The festival is packed with shoppers from morning till night. With temporary stalls on the parking, there is a big traffic jam in front of the market.

Only local made aquariums are available until recently. Fish available in the market are almost the same. Now, a new kind of aquarium with built-in filter is available at the shop in Inya Road. The product is believed to be imported from China. It seems to sell well although it is about five to ten times more expensive than local made aquariums.

Construction work at Yangon International Airport is making progress. The work has covered the arrival lounge.

Zay Cho market is the biggest in Mandalay. Extended construction is underway at the market. On completion, the building will be 26-floor structure and will be a large market.

Visitor no longer need to use a ferry to rhe river on their way to Chaung Tha and Ngwe Saung beaches from Yangon thanks to the newly openly bridge. It saves about an hour to use the bridge. Travellers do not need to worry about delay for using the ferry.

Fruit juice made of great fruit and honey. The juice is a famous product of Kachin State. It is ready to serve after mixing with double volume of water. One bottle costs K 700. It is very tasty.

World Buddhist Summit is scheduled to be held in Yangon from December 9 to 11. The summit seems to be held according to the schedule despite certain speculationupon certainty of the plan. But, mumber of participants will decrease from 1500.

Korean Trade show was held at Yangon Trade Centre from November 25 to 27. Domestic appliances and machinery were on sale at the fair. Korean Women Association sold home ? made Kimchin and Sushi. The money went charity. Various products were introduced by models on the stage during the fair. The fair was packed with visitors.
