Let me introduce some Myanmar foods. The curry in the picture is called "Wun GyiPadethayaza" curry. Variety of vegetables are cooked together. The curry is named after a famous minister of oldem days. I wounder why the curry got that name.

To talk about mobile phones, which prices keep rising, there is news that more mobile phones will be on sale. Hand sets and mobile phones with built-in camera are available on the market. Samsung and Nokia brands are in vogue. The phones are on sale at about K 120,000, K 300,000 and K 400,000. If you want to change your hand-set, it will cost you K 28,000.

A food court, where foods are sold by coupons, has open on the fourth floor of Yuzana Plaza. There are about 20 shops catering to a variety of foods. It is said there are live shows at weekends.

The classic concert of St. Cahterine's College was presented at the National Theatre on September 9. Myanmar traditional music and classic music was presented alternatively. The theatre was so crowded that there were not enough seats for the audience.

Here are some pics of "May Sweet", the most famoussinger in Burma.Those pics were taken at a show in San Francisco State University on Saturday, August 28, 2004."May Sweet" currently lives in Bridgewater, New Jersey.She comes to San Francisco conceivably once a year for the shows. Her next visit will be in April, next year.
