A credit card company MMS (Mercantile Management Service Pte Ltd) has started credit card service recently. At the moment, most of the cards cannot be used locally. But, cards can be used if one has made agreement with this company. Some hotels, travel agencies and souvenir shops have entered into agreement with the company. It is a bit expensive because service charges for charging of US$ and Singapore dollar and services charges for MMS. Deposited of high price, Visa and Master cards can be used at the moment.

Language schools are popular these days. There are a lot of private schools that cater for Japanese, English courses. But, English, Japanese, French, Chinese, Korean and Malaysia courses are available at this school. Number of schools rendering multi-courses are increasing.

Composer and vocalist Htoo Ein Thin passed away at 42 on August 14. He was famous for his own tune and originality. It was a great loss for music lovers, that the one who was good at singing and composing.

Bread made from peas is available at Summit Parkview. The tasty bread is sold only three times a week in Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. You need to place order in advance because it is sold out once it is on sale. A lot of bread costs K1000.

Shwe Yin Aye, a typical Myanmar snack, is on sale on a Wagon in front of Nyaung Pin Lay Plaza where our office is located. Although it is eaten mostly in hot season, there are a lot of cosumers even in the rainy season at Nyaung Pin Lay Plaza where there are a lot of shoppers.

One should take high-way buses from Yangon to Bago near Thakhin Mya Park. It costs K 300 per head for foreigners.

Road-side-stalls in Chaina-town cannot be found any time these days. The shops are to open from 15:00-20:00 hours according to the rules issued by Yangon City Development Committee. During that time, rows of the stalls are packed with people. But, shopkeepers are preparing to close their shops at about 20:00 hours. It is said that they have a plan to allow the stalls to open collectively at a place.

You can dine enjoying the view of Karaweik, the terrace restaurant in the form of a mythical bird, and the lake. Inle Monhinga, rice noodles, which won the first prize in the Monhinga contest is available from 6:30 to 9:00 for breakfast. The taste and the service will satisfy you despite high price, K700 per bowl. We encourage those who do not like Monhinga very much and those who do not want to try the snack at a road-side-shop, to have a try of the snack. Coconut noodles is also available here. It will give you a good taste.

The floor in Yuzana Plaza where furniture is on sale. Imported furniture and teak furniture are popular. Imported furniture is on sale in large number. Desks for computers are in large stock although computers are not widely used.

Pan Hlaing International Hospital is scheduled to finish in February next year. On completion, it will become the most modern hospital in Myanmar. They have plans to hire foreign doctors.
