General Post Office handles all the goods posted to Yangon by air. One has to do a lot of paper works there. Each items has to be undergone checking. They inform the addressees once things posted by EMS arrive. And the addressee has to collect them. CDs and video tapes are checked at another place. It takes three days to post an item from Japan by EMS. (Express Mail Service)

As a part of renovation project of Kandawgyi Lake, arrangements are under way for relocating the aquarium. One can see the building under construction if he or she goes into the park across the Japanese Embassy through the vegetable and fruit shops. The building is targeted to be finished in September but we can't say for sure of the date because the glass for the aquarium will be imported.

This is the picture of newly renovated zoo in Yangon. Carpark, the last phase of the project, is almost finished. Cars were parked by the road before it was finished. Now it has become more convenient. Parkin fee is K 100 per car.

Korean Restaurant “Arirang” has moved to a new location. We had difficulties ordering food in the past because there was no menu written other languages except for Korean menu. The best season for fruits is rainy. I found the shaddock plant at the back of Sedona hotel. It is very delious in this season.

Most households in Yangon use purified drinking water manufactured by private companies, for drinking water. Our also buys drinking water. Staff from companies deliver necessary containers almost everyday. One litre container of drinking water costs K200.

Myanmar-Japan boxing friendly was held at Thuwunna Stadium from 10-11 this month. Myanmar and Japanese boxers took part in the matches of the days. Myanmar women boxing matches were also held on final day. A Japanese TV crew shoot video of the matches. Results from the matches are as follows:

Contruction of Myanmar Gon Yi Tower on Pansodan Street has finished. Each apartment is on sale at K50 million.

Up-grading of the zoo in Yangon has been almost finished. A total of K 600 million went into the project. There are a total of 1500 species; 42 species of birds, 12 species of reptiles, 64 species of mammals, etc. Entrance fee: foreigners K 1500, local people K 100 perhead.

Myanmar-Japan Boxing Friendly organized by Japan Kickboxing Federation and Myanmar Traditional Boxing Federation will be held at Thuwumna Stadium on July 10 and 11, 2004. The matches will be held under Myanmar boxing rules. Major matches are Shwe Saing Vs Yoshitoro Nimi, Naing Wan Lay Vs Takaha Yuyamamot. Ticket prices 5000 K and 3000 K.
