This is Yangon harbour. You can see various sizes of ships. People from Dala, other bank of Yangon River. Small boats are plying among vessels. A small boat holds about 15 persons. If a bridge were built here, in future, it was impossible to see this scene.

Golden Dish Restaurant- It is a shop opened on Inya Road. It serves a wide variety foreigners like Green Elephant. Myanmar dishes are especially arranged for foreign visitors. It is near Sakura Residence. It costs 1500 kyats a course.

It is sold chinese apples and water melons in these days. A water melon can be brought at 400kyats in Thanlin. It cost 800kyats in downtown. Anyway, how expensive things are in Yangon!

This is a store which sells things for babies. I saw such shops at Yuzana Plaza. Special stores like pet shops, CD shops, VCD shops and etc. have been opened recently.

This building, Myanmar Movie Musium can be reached by taking a lane by Japanese Embassy. It is on the right, about 400m. Entrance fee is 15 Kyats for local people and 2US$ for foreigners. It is also opened on week end only.

[Green Elephant Restaurant] is popular among tourists. This is the forth place. It was crowded with European visitors that night. It costs 2000 kyats.

You can cross Yangon river by a ferry to Dala Township. The fare is US$1 forreigners and 5 Kyats for local people. THis pho was taken from Yangon side.

This is the bar of Strand Hotel. I hardly go there for it is No.1 High class hotel in Myanmar. But my Japanes friend insisted that we went. I had a drink at the expense of his. We drank 5 cup of cocktail. It costs 13US$ at 30% discount at happy hour.

Thai - Myanmar friendly fashion show was held at Yankin Centre near Sedona Hotel for three days. Admission is free. 20 THai gays and models and Myanmar actresses. Eindra Kyaw Zin, Yamin Ko Ko, models took part in modekking. Organizer is Tin Moe Lwin from Talents & Models Agency.

Havesting season is about begin. This town, Dala, is located 2-3km away from Yangon on the bank of Yangon river. THere is no bridge and a bit from town. Agriculture is main stay for the people. After rainy seasons paddy is harvested, summer paddy will be grown.

Myanmar Traditional Boxing competition was held at Thuwanna Stadium.The boxers did not use gloves and covers for mouth. A doctor gave treatments to the boxers out of the ring. They competed to their full strength. The matches were so good that Mue Thai (Thailand bixing) catch up with it. Foreigners also took interests in it. recentry. Champion Wun Chai took part in the matches on that day.

This elephant may have gone out from Thaketa Pagoda Festival. Where is it going after crossing the road? I am surprised at seeing this beast for the first time outside the zoo.

A pagoda festival is being held in Thaketa Township. THere are many stalls like festivals in Japan. Shows of uncommon things, food stalls, toy shops and astrologers shop are there. There are also tatoo shops. Many designs and pictures are put in rows in front of the shops.

This building located in Hlaing Thaya across Bayint Naung Bridge from Insein. Altogether 54 flats have been sold out. Each costs 6 million kyats. Each flat contains three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room and kitchen. And there are two elevators at the building.

This is the brick fence of a building on Pyi Road near Hledan Traffic Lights. That is made of wheel of carts and is unique design. That is a Chinese company at present. But it used to be a hotel.

'Oishi' Restaurant was opened beside Olympic Hotel on Shwedagon Pagoda Road. There are model shows and dance shows every evening. About ten singers sang there today.

Traditional Medical Exhibition was held at Tatmadaw Convention Centre. Myanmar Traditional medicine, herbal plants and raw materials were exhibited. Private madecine produceres show commercials on TV in front of their booth. Some shops promoted their products with models. The exhibition was crowded with visitors.
