Opening ceremony of One Stop Shopping Mall held at Yankin Centre in Yankin Township. There are over 60 shops on the three floor of the mall. The shops includes cafe, fashion, hirdressing, books, electric appliances and City Mart.

Air Mandalay has added a new air craft to its existing flight of two ATR 42 on 23 November. The new plane was chartered from France on a five year contract.

The computer virus [MATRIX], which is spreading all over, the world is also giving trouble widely in Yangon. International Hotels and foreign missions office have experienced the disturbances of the virus. So has our company, but we cam manage to get over it. We had to make necessary arrangements to send Yangon news and had many troubles.

More than 45 aircraft, will arrive from Calcutta for a one - night stay in Yangon on 25 March. Yangon is one of 22 stopovers of The London - Sydney Air Race 2001. The race will cross 17 countries. The air craft will leave for Phuket, Thailand, the next morning enroute to Sydney.

Soe Myat Kalaya, younger sister of famous actress Soe MyatThuza, elder sister of famous actress Soe Myat Nanda, joined holy order on 5th November commemoration of her 27th birthday. Her younger brother also held his 24th birthday at the same monastery. 670,000 Kyats worth of offertories like yellow robes, towels, cash, air-conditioner etc were presented to monks.

Indonesia team beat Myanmar team 5-0 on 12 November in the ASEAN Tiger Cup Football Championship held in Thailand. Myanmar team had to leave the match.

When a new car is bought, they usually go to a place where Nat (spirit) is kept. And they pray to avert accidents there. It is near to Mingaladon Airport and called "Shwe Nyaung Pin (Golden Banyan Tree) Bo Bo Kyi". Cars come there and pray to avert dangers and accidents.

Reconditioned cars made in Japan cost 3 million Kyats to 5 million Kyats if an air-conditioner is installed. This yellow Volks Wagon was used by a doctor for a long time. The condition is good and the car needn't repairing. So I bought it for 880,000 Kyats. I like it although it has no air-conditioner.

I have already introduced the old Japan-made car sale center. I often see lovely Volks Wagon in Yangon. When I find them, they are sold and bought in Kyuntaw Street (See introduction of restaurants) in front of Emperor Restaurant. Volks Wagon is called "Busgon" or "Voksgon".

ASEAN Tiger Cup football matches will be held from 5 to 18 November in Thailand. Myanmar Team will play with the Thai Team on 6th, with the Philippines Team on 8th, and with the Indonesia Team on 12th November. Thai Team beat Myanmar Team 3-1 on 6th November.

There will be a market festival at the GEC (Government Employee Cooperatives) hall on the 2nd floor of Nyaung Pin Lay Plaza where our Company is located from 6 to 8 November. There will also be stage showprograms at the festival. Many figures made of towels, soaps, money and etc to be offered to monasteries could be seen on the first floor of Nyaung Pin Lay Plaza. The largest figure was made of 100,000 Kyats. These are photos of the figures.

J'Donuts and Shwe Nan Daw gold shop have been opened. The opening ceremony of Shwe Nan Daw gold shop was held yesterday. There were so many shoppers who came to the shop that there was a traffic jam in the street. These are photos of the shops.

There are about four Kyeowe shops in Shwe Taung Tan Street, west of downtown. Kyeowe is a soup that contains pork, thicken, vermicelli, some leaves, and eggs of quail. It is very famous because it's not fatty. You can enjoy each restaurant's taste.

Commercial for MAI(Myanmar Airways International) will be shot in Malaysia and Singapore. The director is Zinyaw Maung Maung and his wife actress May Than Nu, their son Min Thant Maung Maung, and actress Pan Phyu will act in the commercial.
