E-mail in Myanmar did not work well since last week. The cases of not receiving them are most. According to the information we received from Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications last week, they have changed the name of domain in E-mail server. The cause of the trouble may be because of it.

Myo Gyi, one of famous vocalists, married Ma Zin Ma Lwin who helped him with his singing career. Both are 24 years old. And they have been in love with each other for five years. Their wedding ceremony took place at Judson Church in the afternoon on 21 May 2000. They left Yangon for Taunggyi and Inlay for their honeymoon with vocalist Lay Phu and Iron Cross Band on the very day of the wedding.

I saw some tricycles which sell coffee playing music in Yangon. There are five reconditioned tricycles that goes round the city selling coffee. Cold and hot coffee is available at the rate of 35 Kyats per cup.

EUGENIA CAFE is always crowded with customers in Yangon. Most popular food is "Kye Owe". A bowl of it costs 350 Kyats. Although the food is a bit expensive, the shop looks inviting for it has a good air-conditioning system in beautiful room and it offers good service.

Authorities are making plans for development of baseball founding a national team. Their aim is to take part in SEA GAME (Olympic of South-East Asia) in the future. There will be a demonstration of baseball at the play ground of a high school in Yangon on 27 and 28 May. Admission is free and anyone can participate in the game.

The coins that were put into circulation in March are not widely in useyet in Yangon. In suburbs of Yangon and some supermarkets, only fewpeople who wish to use them are using it.

The TV programmes broadcasting at Yangon Station has changed to a public attraction. The broadcasting hour is from 4-6pm. It lasts only two hours. Now, two foreign movies which carry advertisments are on in a month. Three movies will be on in a month in near future. During the TV programmes, advertisement can be put at the rate of K5,000 for Myanmar products and FEC 50 for foreign products per ten seconds.

Although Internet is not in use in Myanmar yet, some of the computer training schools in Yangon starts to teaching the courses of the how to make the Homepage for future use. At MCC, one of a big computer training school in Yangon, tuition fee of the Homepage's courses is K15000 for 6 month course (2hour/4times in a week).

It rained very heavily today. The cases of infuluenza are on the increase. It might be the change of seasons.

A 30 million-prize will be presented starting from 137 series of the state lottery. The lottery tickets will be sold starting from 3ed June. The 10 million prize has been presented starting from 130 series. Price of lottery ticket remains unchanged. It costs 50 Kyats a ticket.

Many Journalists are still writing news about actress Soe Myat Thu Za to date. Soe Myat Thu Za first met the husband-to-be Maung Myo Min in America when she went there with artistes Hla Hla Moe, Yan Aung, Soe Pine, Pitine Daung and Ni Ni Win Shwe to present entertainment under the sponsorship of an organization. Maung Myo Min was a friend of Ni Ni Win Shwe. It was 10 month ago. The wedding reception of them took place at Myayeik Nyo Royal Hotel on 7 April. Soe Myat Thu Za left here for America on 16 May to live with her husband in America.

'MM Cyber Cafe', the first Internet Cafe in Myanmar, will be opened next Tuesday in Dagon Longue of Summit Parkvie Hotel. Now private company cannot be seen on the Web-site in Myanmar, they will be serviced only the download of the web-site. User fee is US$3/ per hour.

Air Mandalay, a domestic airline, will extend its destinations by adding new two ATR92(Present aeroplane are ATR72) from France. The airline will add one aeroplane in July and one in November. The airline seems to hire these aeroplanes.

'GIORDANO', boutiques are popular among young people in Yangon nowadays. There are six GIORDANO boutiques in Yangon and six in Mandalay. And there are about four showrooms at Plaza and Department stores. Clothes are inported from Hong Kong. A shirt or dress cost 2000 Kyats and above.

Petrol and Diesel has been sold without any documents since last month. Unlimited amount of diesel and petrol can be bought at four filling-stations. Car owners can buy at the rest of filling-stations at the rate of three gallons per day with documents as usual. A gallon of petrol costs 180 Kyats at the ordinary filling-stations. But it costs 390 Kyats at the special filling-stations.
