To Myanmar, Far from Madding Crowd
by Yuko

This trip was a three -day two-night visit. After my return from this trip, I dreamt about it.

But, I got a really valuable thing in my life during this trip. Where is Myanmar? What kind of country is it? Without having such knowledge, I had visited the country.

It was my first visit abroad. Books cannot tell real things such as you witness in practice. A friend of mine who I met in January told me who was afraid to make a trip abroad and reluctant to take leave.
"How are your eyes behaving?"

Then the friend told me.
"If you don't visit Myanmar, you won't know these facts."
I hear the voices of Myanmar as if I were in Myanmar. The voices are echoing. I hear her voice always.

The difference of temperature between Myanmar and Japan is 20 C. It was too hot for me to stay. But when I entered a monastery, I felt peace of mind. What makes such a wonderful thing? The environment is different from ours; the people are in action for their living. You all gave me friendliness, embraced me warmly. I felt excited about experiencing your kindness. We made Yokohama, an Asian food outlet, and meeting place at 8 pm. One month later, I would meet her at Bagan airport at 8 am. When I saw her and got excited.

She introduced many friends to me. Mr. and Mrs. Nishigaki who kindly guided me on various trips. I thank all of them.

Thanking all who made me active while I was tired out from taking the crowded shaking train in my country.
