Aesthetic experience at L'Espace in Myanmar
by Nishigaki Satoe

ToIt was Ms Olivia who was welcoming the clients wearing a pleasing smile. She is the owner of the beauty saloon L Espace, which uses only imported beauty goods from France. The shop is located on the second floor on Summit Park View Hotel.

At the first glance, I could see no week points in her. As her profession suggests, there is nothing to criticise about her hair do, make-up, dress, skin and gentle manner. All these make her impressed as an expert beautician. These are like an attraction. I can say for sure that she has been successful in her line of profession for about 27 years because of these possessions. A question has suddenly risen about her age while I am about 27 years in this line. She is nurturing talented beauticians in Yangon making good use of her experience. It is said that there are some beauticians who run their own shops after undergoing training at hers.

Owner Ms. Olivia

Entering the tidy and cosy shop, one can see surprisingly large number of certificates of honour on the wall. She got testimonials regarding the art of beauty from Taiwan, Japan, England and France. A wide range of services from massage, diet, facial treatment, eyebrow, eyeline tattoo to nail, haircut and colouring is available here. Moreover, beauty goods in the shop are good quality imported ones.

Numbers of certificate

It is natural to have a desire for having a try here, after coming up to here. Out of several types of massage, I chose relaxing Swedish massage with lavender essential oil. It was a session that cost US $ 22 for one hour and fifteen minutes. The massage parlour was dimly lit with soft music being played. They use beds with a hole so that a client does not feel uncomfortable when her face is down.First, I had to lie on the bed with my face down after putting on paper pants. It was followed by peaceful occasion. Then massage started to cover from head to toes including ears with an exception of the face.

Massage room

It was like dropping my hard cool body in a warm tub easing all the muscles. Muscles all over the face seemed to get eased and I felt a bit sleepy. Ah! I have been tired that much.It feels good on this place. More on there. It feels terrific. Saying this in my mind, I fell asleep under the touch of skillful fingers enjoying the fragrance of lavender. I felt really refreshed physically and mentally after being removed unwanted things from my body with lymph massage.

Fical aslo Available

After having massaged, one can have her hair done, shampooed and dry blown at the beauty saloon before having a bath. The oil remained on the body was not sticky but sweet smell of lavender spread all over the body and wetness of the oil remained on the body. I felt reluctant to wash up the oil. I was thrilled to see that my dry skin become smooth and wet because of excessive oil applied on the body. The sunshine is intense in Myanmar to compare to Japan. I thought that having such skin and body care services to remove tiredness of traveling was a kind of welcoming new days ahead in Japan.

lots of manicure & pedicure

One probably thinks it is a little expensive. They use imported beauty goods after thorough investigation. One would be pleased anyway to have an experience at the beauty saloon of Ms Olivia, a careful competent beautician. Massage and facial care services are also available at this shop. I would like to urge you to have a try.
