Nine day pilgrimage to Myanmar
by Chin Terao

As soon as you hear 'A visit to Myanmar' you can guess that is 'pilgrimage'.

In Myanmar, there are many wonderful and interesting images of Lord Buddha in the ancient historical pagodas. Although you see them again and again, you will be never weary.

The schedule is the following.

First day Direct flight Kansai Airport to YangonStay in Yangon.
Second day Sightseeing in Yangon. Stay in Yangon.
Third day Yangon to Bago; going and coming back within a day. Stay in Yangon
Fourth day Going to Mandalay by air. Stay in Mandalay.
Fifth day Traveling by a fired car by a whole from Mandalay to Monywa via Sagaing Hill.
Sixth day Monyawa Manadalay Bagan by air. Stay in Bagon
Seventh day Popa fill and Sagaing sightseeing; coming back to Yangon by plane (Stay in Bagan because of flight cancel.
Eiglth day Fortunately, in the afternoon going to Yangon with full passengers, at that night, Yangon to Narita via Bangkok.
Ninth day Arrival at Tokyo early in the morning.

According to the schedule motioned above, the number of pagodas I visited is 25. I would like to mention 5 pagodas, which I like most. They are:-
No.1 : Sanbhudae pagoda, Monywe
No.2 : Bhoditahtaung pagoda, Monywe.
No.3 : Einlamu pagoda, Yangon.
No.4 : Maelamu pagoda, Yangon.
No.5 : Shwedagon pagoda, Yangon.

Besides those pagodas above, Bagan and Sagaing are teh cities which have many beautiful and pleasant sights. Myanmar 's good nature and generosity deserve to be esteemed.

I wanted to visit the pagodas, which were situated for away from Yangon. But these were children in our members. The number was five including our friends. Therefore it was necessary to hire a taxi and to book the Hotel. I had to take the help of Sanay Travel.

Dispatch by E-mail was not needed to be worried like fax for the charges. So inquiry and flexibility could be made with case. The fee of taxi (nine men accommodated car : Town ace), which was calculated and offered by Sanay, was very satisfactory. We demanded to hire only the car by the whole. Sanay Travels accepted it easily. (It was a tenth part of the expenses, which was offered by a traveling agency in Japan). It was most suitable for the travelers especially for those who have children. The driver would make you happy if you were weary on the journey. If a tourist found any difficulties on his way by himself the driver would drive him to his destination by asking the person he met nearby.

We could visit so many places in a short time. It was because of the merit of hiring the car by a whole. It was different from the track, which was full of passengers and stopped beside the road with the broken engine. We sighed, 'Hiring this car is very helpful'.

Myanmar is the country, which we want to visit whenever we find the time. 'Sanay may we ask you for help next time'.
