of Do-Re-Mi Kids Music Center.
Born in Musical Family. She was brought up with beautiful music and fine art under her parents. Basically she learned MUSIC under her father who is a piano tuner and was running piano school. Also she got the fine art sense from her mother who loves drawing pictures and often brought her daughter to art galleries. Her career as a music teacher started in 1987 when she started to work at the Victor Music Centre Japan, one of the biggest music institutions in Japan as an Early Childhood Music Educator. Since then she has been guiding children playing piano with lots of FUN!
Married to Myanmar and moved to Myanmar in 1996. While adjusting herself to different culture, she started to teach piano for children of her friends. From mouths of children and parents, number of students increased and many parents requested to have music lessons for their children. After completing 2 years Orff certification course under Orff Music Education of the Australia Catholic University, she opened Do-Re-Mi Kids Music Centre which offered various music lessons from age zero to adults, using Orff Schulwerk Method in 2000.
In 2002, 2003 and 2004, with the vision to share her enthusiasm with educators here in Yangon, she is organizing and conduction the Early Childhood Workshop applying Orff Schulwerk Method for the educator of kindergartens and schools in Yangon. These workshops inspired many educators who in turn benefited children at their schools.
Also she renders her service to several kindergartens and schools in Yangon such as Network Early Childhood Centre, Future Kidz International Kindergarten, Horizon International Education Centre and Ana-gut-pyo-khine Pre-school, that want a quality music and movements component to their school curriculum
Yumi's unique and dynamic teaching method has been supported by many families and students. She believes of boundless potential of each and every child and wishes to share the greatest way of developing this potential to the fullest extend, through MUSIC!
